Claire The Celebrant

About Me

My name is Claire Fraser and I am based in Gloucestershire but work in the surrounding counties too and can travel throughout the UK. I am a fully trained and experienced Civil Celebrant and perform ceremonies for all of life’s big occasions.

I have been married to my amazing husband David for 32 years after meeting him at school.  We live in our lovely home just outside Tewkesbury where we are very happy.

We are proud parents to our two sons, Jack and Sam.  Jack married his beautiful wife Shubhangi (in a celebrant led ceremony of course!) in 2022 and they live happily in Cambridgeshire.

Our younger son Sam lives in London and we wait to see what the future holds for him and his beautiful girlfriend Aisha!

I couldn’t be any prouder of my family

New challenges are a passion of mine, often creative ones and in the last year or so I have learned many new things including pottery, crochet, forging, upholstery, mosaic work, needle felting, willow weaving, applique, silver and resin jewelry and  making as well as piano lessons too!  Four years ago I was part of a team that created the World’s First Full size knitted Show Garden at RHS Malvern.

I love people. Whether they are elderly or young, fighting fit or with challenges to face I enjoy spending time with them , chatting, listening, laughing and usually drinking tea too.

My little Nissan figaro “Poppy” loves a wedding! When she comes out of the garage, has a clean and I put the picnic hamper on the back she knows we are heading off somewhere special! She is a real poser for the camera and is more than happy to feature in any of your wedding pictures!

She also likes to accompany me to funerals when the sun shines too.  Such a cute little car always brings a smile. She always attracts plenty of attention wherever she goes!

Creating unique personal ceremonies for all of life's celebrations is something that meets my love of creative challenges and meeting new people.  Whether it is a happy occasion such as a Wedding or Baby naming ceremony or a sad time when we want to celebrate and remember a life, I approach each one with kindness and compassion and usually a little laughter too.  Whatever the occasion I will listen to your wishes and thoughts and together we can create the occasion that is perfect for you. I will find out the things that are important to you and your loved one and ensure these are reflected in your ceremony. I am a natural listener - a trained Samaritan volunteer and I love to listen to your stories and help to bring them to life.
